Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105 with LTE

A lot of confusion has risen due to the release of the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 because apparently there are two versions of it.

First one is the GT-N7100 this version is the one that does not enable LTE / 4G apparently this is the phone already circulating the market on different areas of the globe.

Second one is the GT-N7105 this one is the model with LTE/4G enabled on it, this is not released yet and was set to be released in the UK on October 15th of this year.

So apparently the currently circulating model of this phablet is the N7100 model which is not yet LTE / 4G enabled.

NOTE: If you are willing to wait and aching to use the LTE go ahead and wait for the release of this model, if not and still targeting on buying this phablet, maybe you could settle for the current model. I predict that due to the lack of LTE the current model will be cheaper.

RANTS: Still i'm rooting for this phone / phablet, the LTE is just a plus in my opinion because I think LTE / 4G will benefit mostly only those in postpaid plans by carriers ( SMART & GLOBE ), the pre-paid public which is most of the consumers here in my country is, will still stick to Wi-Fi.

For comments & suggestions or even additional info on this please do hit the comments, thanks!

  1. You are right, and that what Samsung CS told me (the first release will not be LTE) but regarding the difference between N7100 and N7105 that will be in the frequency and bands, the N7100 will support 700Mhz/1700Mhz/2100Mhz, while N7105 will support 800Mhz/1800Mhz/2600Mhz.
Regarding the 700Mhz most of countries now using this frequency for analog TV, except USA and that's why the official LTE frequency in USA is 700Mhz, and due to that this frequency can travel further VS higher frequency which can take more customer simultaneously with a high quality.
Here is some more info about the LTE frequencies and what countries are using what frequency here:
